The Worshipful Master of Castle Lodge attended Quarterly Communications held at the United Grand Lodge of England, in London. It was an honour to support the Provincial Grand Master, and the Provincial team. These meetings are held by 'Grand Lodge' for the purposes of transacting and communicating the business of Freemasonary. Masters, both past and present, and the wardens of lodges are members of 'Grand Lodge' and are therefore entitled to attend.
PGM visits Castle Lodge
Castle Lodge was honoured to recieve a visit from the Provincial Grand Master, who attended our 'Christmas Special'. Generous refreshments were available as the bretheren and guests particpated in the annual Christmas Quiz, which proved to be an excellent end to the year. Following the meeting and festivities, the bretheren retired to a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

Support to Bodicote Scouts
Following a break in and vandalism over the Christmas period, Bodicote Scout Groups HQ was in need of some quick support with a significant amount of clean up required before children were allowed to use the facility. Members of Castle Lodge were at hand to give up their time to help the scouts get back on track by painting, decorating and even removing damaged sections of flooring and toliets.

Members of Castle Lodge went back to the 1st Bodicote Scout Group to see how they were getting on following the break in earlier in the year, and to formally present them with a cheque for £500. It was really nice to meet them and see them all enjoying their activities (consent was sought in advance for the photograph).

The Oxfordshire Children's Diabetes Fund
Supporting children in the Oxfordshire area with diabetes. Donations support activity weekends with the children (giving parents a little respite), food measurement apparatus for those parents of newly diagnosed, days out, 'Carbs & Cals' educational material and so much more.
Dogs for Good
Dogs for Good, provide family focussed workshops and guidance, create assistance dog partnerships and community programmes. They match people and specially trained dogs to form life-changing partnerships. Their assistance dogs offer both emotional and practical support, enabling people to better access the world, build confidence in their abilities and live fuller, more independent lives.
NHS Power Choir
This Banbury based group, founded at the Horton Hospital is completely self-funded and serves to support local NHS workers by providing an outlet to raise morale, confidence and self-esteem. The choir regularly performes at local care centres and nursing homes, and supports churches in the area; bringing much needed joy and happiness.
